The Owl House
The Owl House is a truly unique experience and in 2015 it won George Clarke’s ‘Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year’ Competition. Sitting at the top of the garden, it enjoys fantastic views of Hightown sand dunes and beautiful sunsets.
The building is timber framed, with parts made from cob and recycled bottles. Inside you will find comfortable sofa’s and a day bed to chill out on. It is a fully functional space where guests can relax, listen to music, and notice the beautiful features – the Owl House ‘living roof’ is made from grass and various types of flora!
*Unfortunately, due to a neighbour complaint, guests can no longer sleep in the Owl House as it does not meet building regulations. Instead, visitors can sleep in the guest room inside my adjacent bungalow.*
During your stay in my guest bedroom you will have full access to the Owl House, the Slipper House, plus use of the house kitchen, bathroom and free car parking.
A train station is 10 minutes walk from the property, from which you can reach a number of attractions including Formby Pine Woods (with red squirrels), and Liverpool – just 20 minutes by train. Southport is also a short train journey away.
