Creeside Escape Shepherds Hut
Escape from modern life and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature! Get away from it all and stay in our traditional shepherd’s hut on our working farm in South West Scotland.
The shepherds hut enjoys uninterrupted views of the River Cree, with the Galloway Hills in the distance. It sleeps 2 people in a comfortable double bed, and there is a wood burning stove to keep the hut nice and warm.
All linen and towels are provided, along with spare blankets for colder days, plus basic cutlery and crockery. There is a gas stove, a kettle, and tea and coffee. The hut has an en-suite eco WC, but no shower facility.
Phones can be charged and the hut has solar powered lights, but please be aware there is no mains electric, internet, or phone signal! This is a real ‘back to nature’ break.
If it is raining, be sure to bring wellies – the hut is situated in a peaceful field and there is a short walk with no hard path. We accept bookings 10 months of the year, closed for lambing during April and May.
We are located 12 miles from both Newton Stewart, the ‘Gateway to the Galloway Hills’ and the harbour town of Girvan.
Unfortunately, as we run a working farm we do not allow pets.
