Swaledale Shepherd Hut (8 miles from Skipton)

Appletreewick is a pretty Yorkshire village, just a short 20 minute drive to Skipton, and close to the fabulous Bolton Abbey ruins.

Swaledale Shepherd Hut is located in the grounds of the Craven Arms pub, and sleeps two people in a built-in double bed. The hut also has en-suite facilities, underfloor heating, and a wood burning stove.

The highly-rated Craven Arms offers a range of ales and delicious traditional British food.

Bellwether Shepherd Hut (8 miles from Skipton)

With views over Wharfedale, Bellwether is the second of three shepherd huts at the Craven Arms.

With a double bed and a single bed above (accessed by a ladder), the hut sleeps 3 people in total. There is also a fully equipped en-suite with shower, basin, and toilet, plus a small table with chairs in the living area.

Wifi can be accessed in the pub.

Baildon Camping Cabins (15 miles from Skipton)

A 30 minute drive to Skipton, Baildon Camping Cabins are situated at ​Dobrudden Caravan Park on Baildon Moor. Visitors can enjoy excellent views over the surrounding countryside.

The cabins have memory foam double beds and outside each cabin there is a small veranda with table, chairs, and a BBQ stand. The campsite shower block is a short walk away.

Best of all, the average price for the cabins is just £35 per night!

Being based around the Skipton area is perfect for people who love to explore the great outdoors. Malham Cove and the wild Pennine moors surrounding Haworth can be reached in less than a 30 minute car journey from Skipton. Both places have numerous mountain bike trails and footpaths.

For those that don’t fancy strenuous exercise, Skipton High Street has a good variety of pubs, cafes, and shops. Buses and taxis can be ordered from your glamping site if you feel like having a drink or two.

The town is regularly voted as one of the best areas of the UK to live thanks to its range of amenities and the glorious countryside nearby.
